We decided to host friendsgiving this year two weekends before the holiday. We figured the week before Thanksgiving, most people are either traveling or preparing for Thanksgiving.
We host our friendsgiving pot-lot style and ask friends to bring a dish and alcohol. This year we were blessed with 60 degree weather in south florida. All our guest spent most of the night outside taking in this wonderful rare weather.
I wrote a prior blog post about different ways to style a Thanksgiving table here.
We had a turn out of about eighteen friends and siblings. We used three large rectangular picnic tables all in a row.
I didn’t have enough plates and was able to fine a white set of four at Ross. I like to keep all my plates different shades of white to make mixing and matching easier.
Overall we had a great time, and I was finally able to make a stuffing my brother in law approved. I’ll share the recipe next week.
