The year was 2012, Taylor Swift had just released her Red album and was hosting private album listening sessions in her various homes. Clearly my invitation got lost in the mail. There are photographs circulating the web of her serving her guest cookies. WHAT ARE THOSE COOKIES TAYLOR?!?

Finally, Taylor posted this recipe on her tumbler and my world has forever been changed. The fall of 2012 was spent studying, baking these cookies, listening/singing to the Red album on repeat and getting wine drunk with my roommates (in no particular order fyi).

I would like to thank the emergency department for making me feel like T-Swift herself as everyone raved about these cookies.

I went a little wild and used semi-sweet chocolate chips, when the recipe called for milk chocolate. Crazy! I know! I hope Tay doesn’t judge me, but it was what I had on-hand.

I also decided to get even wilder by sparkling pink himalayan salt on a dozen cookies. I called my creation “salted pumpkin cookies”. I was rather pleased with the outcome.

Also, these cookies only come out great if your blasting Taylor Swift music while baking. I don’t make the rules, I just follow them.

Side-note:
Bruce + Wayne thought it would be a great idea to dumpster dive and eat the wax paper with cookie residue while I was out for a quick jog around the neighborhood. There was also evidence that they tried to eat the cookies cooling on the countertop. But this wasn’t my first rodeo, and I took precautions to ensure they wouldn’t reach them.

Hi Claudia, I’m just wondering if you have an email where I could reach you? I wasn’t able to find anything on your blog, but I would love to hear if you’re open to collab? If so, feel free to write directly to me at olivia@blogerize.com if you don’t want to publish your email here in the comments 🙂 Thanks!
