When it comes to pumpkins, I’m drawn to the pale green, white and gray ones. For the sake of tradition I throw in a few classic orange pumpkins.
I like to bring out my vintage brass candle sticks I got on Etsy during the fall and leave them out until the end of the holiday season.
The remainder of my decorations are from past seasons that I keep in a plastic storage containers.
I swapped out the dried arrangement on the coffee table for the one on the bar cart. All the dried eucalyptus I’ve gathered from my HOL flower subscriptions. (Because friends don’t let friends throw away perfectly dried eucalyptus!).
Moving current decorations around the house gives one the illusion of having new things.
I’m often tempted into buying new things because as consumers we are constantly being advertised to and tricked into thinking we need more. So I ask that you also challenge yourself to move things around the house before going out and buying the entire fall line at target.
